Racecar driving is one of the most cinematic sports. The drivers are an eccentric bunch and the 1970s was a colorful era. But it takes a few laps for Ron Howard’s “Rush” to find an opening into its fact-based story. When it does, though, the movie cruises to an ending that’s gripping, whether you know the outcome or not.
