We — and our faithful readers, of course — are not style chickens. We love to wear a challenging shape or new trend. But, somehow the super-wide pant can still be a bit tricky. What do I wear it with? Will it make me look like a parachute? These are real concerns we've considered. But, relax, you can do it.

That's at least the impression we're getting from the new pre-fall '14 Sonia Rykiel collection that was recently released. In the quirky lookbook Rykiel has not only played around with lines on the photo shoot set, but also the lines of her looks. Big, voluminous pants rule for pre-fall, and they come in every hem length. From the long, billowy version that pair with an equally statement-making top, to shorts and culottes that are a welcome step outside our comfort zone, these five looks ahead are the collection's way of double-dog daring us.
