You might think after a horrific weekend sweep in Fenway — in which their three top starters, Hiroki Kuroda, CC Sabathia and Ivan Nova, were strafed for a combined 7.87 ERA with 23 hits and 14 earned runs in 16 innings, and three more regulars, Brett Gardner, Alfonso Soriano and Alex Rodriguez, went down with injuries — the Yankees have finally met their maker as far as this season is concerned.
